MightyGroupUK update

Chaperone Collective joins the current MightyGroupUK family

Chaperone Collective is now one of the four current ventures presented on MightyGroup.net. It sits alongside MightyVendingUK, VendMetrix and MightyDigitalStudioUK, but its subject and community are distinctly its own.

The platform is for licensed child-performance chaperones and tutors working across areas such as television, film, theatre, commercials, modelling and live performance. It also provides routes for productions, organisations and agencies.

Its place in the group comes from a combination of specialist knowledge and practical digital work.

Built around a specialist community

Child-performance work has its own language, pressures and responsibilities. Chaperones and tutors may be working around call sheets, rehearsal schedules, backstage spaces, education time, handovers and different production environments.

Chaperone Collective describes itself as peer-led. Its public site provides guidance, community support and signposting, alongside a directory and opportunity-posting platform. Registration and basic opportunity alerts are currently presented as free for chaperones and tutors.

The site also draws an important line around what the platform does not do. It is not presented as a commission-based agency or employment business. It does not replace official guidance, employer procedures, safeguarding policies, education requirements or legal advice.

Those boundaries matter because a community platform should not imply that joining it transfers responsibility away from hirers, productions, employers or licence holders.

Where MightyGroupUK fits

MightyGroupUK provides the shared parent-brand home and longer-term direction. MightyDigitalStudioUK supplies the website, app and digital-platform capability described across the group.

Chaperone Collective contributes the specialist understanding needed to shape the platform around real users. That is different from taking a generic directory template and relabelling it for a sensitive field.

The parent website describes the relationship as specialist safeguarding and production knowledge supported by the group’s digital capability. That wording is deliberate. It does not claim that software can make safeguarding decisions or guarantee outcomes.

Keeping the right information in the right place

MightyGroup.net will carry genuine group developments, including changes to the portfolio. Detailed child-performance guidance belongs on the Chaperone Collective website, where it can sit alongside clear safeguarding notes and links to the appropriate official routes.

Privacy also matters. Identifying details about children should not be shared in public or community spaces. If there is a safeguarding concern, the appropriate reporting route should be used immediately rather than a general parent-brand contact form.

Part of the current four-brand focus

Adding Chaperone Collective makes the present MightyGroupUK portfolio broader, but the connection is practical. The group already has experience of customer-facing online services, digital platforms and specialist tools. Chaperone Collective applies that capability to a defined professional community, with clear limits around the platform’s role.
